For the price these are pretty good. They obviously are not Sordin quality but for a cheap pair of electronic muffs they are worth it.

I decided to grab these due to the reviews, and I couldn't be happier. I agree with what so many others have said already.

Fit is always subjective, but they're incredibly comfortable for me. The thinness, and folding up is great. I'm shocked by how good the sound quality is for a set this cheap. I only start to get a little bit of white noise on the very highest amplification level, and at that point they're way beyond natural hearing.

Even on the very highest setting, the white noise is so low I don't think it would annoy me to have them set there for an entire day hunting. What would probably end up driving me nuts me is hearing every squirrel within a two mile radius and the sound of my own breathing.

I HAVE USED HOWARD LEIGHT EAR PROTECTION (NON ELECTRONIC)FOR SEVERAL YEARS, BUT RECENTLY JOINED AN INDOOR SHOOTING RANGE AND COULD NOT HEAR ANYONE THAT TRIED TO SPEAK TO ME. SO I PURCHASED THE HOWARD LEIGHT R-01526 ELECTRONIC HEARING PROTECTION AND I CAN HEAR ANYONE SPEAKING IN A NORMAL TONE AT THE RANGE, BUT OF COURSE, THE GUNSHOTS ARE MUFFLED DOWN TO 82 DECIBLES..........IT'S A PLEASURE TO GO TO THE SHOOTING RANGE NOW THAT I CAN HEAR NORMALLY....THEY ARE REALLY EFFECTIVE AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY ! !

I looked over many reviews and didn't want to spend over a hundred dollars for ear protection. My gun club has the same set for about $25 more and I noticed that quite a few shooters were using the same ones. I asked around and everyone loves them. They are at least $40 - $50 less expensive than the higher end earmuffs with similar performance. You can shoot and have a conversation when neccessary with people that you are shooting with. Solid FIVE STARS!

There are definitely more expensive units, and while most perform reasonably well -- this balance is hard to beat. Some of the more expensive units are less rugged, and sweating inside their earcips cause corrosion on the battery contacts. Others are nearly five times the price and require gel ear cups for extended wear. You can pay more, but the difference in cost will never equal the value of these hearing protectors.
